Job purpose

To provide the highest level of customer service while ensuring range safety procedures are adhered to. Maintaining a set standard of range cleanliness and maintenance.

Duties and responsibilities

• Monitor all activity on the shooting lanes at all times.
• Assist customers with appropriate lane and target operation.
• Know and follow emergency response plans when required.
• Maintain productive relationships with established customers, providing the highest level of customer service.
• Educating the public on safety and range rules.
• Daily cleaning and maintenance of range facilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Secondary Duties and responsibilities

• Engage with each guest entering and departing the facility.
• Perform office and clerical duties pertaining to data entry, reservations, and memberships.
• Assist with bookings regarding lane reservation, date nights, memberships, and training.
• Gain knowledge and be able to explain in detail the benefits of a Wilshire Gun membership.
• Process the purchase of gift cards.
• Respond to emails according to inquiry.
• Answer incoming calls in a friendly and pleasant manner, direct the caller to the appropriate department, inquire as to the needs of the guest and respond appropriately.
• Ensure the reception area is kept neat, with all needed guest service supplies available.
• Provide concierge services for guests such as providing information for shopping, shooting range, and recreational events.

Qualification

• Must be able to commit to a minimum of twelve (12) scheduled hours per workweek.

• Legally work in the United States.
• Knowledge of firearms safety procedures.

• 18 years of age or Older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of the function and mechanics of firearm operations.

• Ability to clear a malfunction of a firearm.

• Knowledge of the general safety rules of firearm handling.

Working conditions

• Regular shift work may exceed 8-hour shifts.
• Will work weekends, nights and some holidays (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas Day).
• Most work performed indoors, occasional exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
• Regular lead level and audio testing.

Physical requirements

• Regularly on feet all day walking, kneeling, and crouching, climbing a ladder/stair
• Lifting of upward of 50lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Requires normal range of hearing and vision and requires being able to see small writing at a limited distance.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 per hour
