Facilities Maintenance Technician
Work Location: In-Person | Lebanon, TN
Job Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks for approximately 35 bank offices and properties. Routine tasks include light carpentry, minor electrical, heating and air conditioning familiarity, minor plumbing, etc. The Facilities Maintenance Technician provides occasional fill-in duties for the daily courier service. This position reports to the Facilities Manager.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate inspections, maintenance and repair of all building electrical facilities and systems, heating, ventilation, cooling systems, and plumbing systems; perform maintenance and repair tasks as appropriate
- Investigate and troubleshoot problems with facilities systems
- Troubleshoot and oversee routine maintenance problems, such as structural problems, basic mechanical or other equipment malfunctions and report to supervisor
- Ensure adequate stock and serviceability of necessary maintenance supplies and equipment; purchase materials, supplies, and/or equipment as appropriate
- Prepare and maintain records on all maintenance activities
- Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
- Conduct routine facilities maintenance activities, to include snow removal
- Coordinate supplies and set up for special events
- Participate in outside community events as required
- Adhere to compliance with all federal bank regulations and laws, including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 years of facilities-related experience preferred
- Solid knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control
- Able to maintain records for preventative maintenance
- Solid ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures
- Ability to train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Solid knowledge and understanding of building electrical systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, and water supply systems
- Basic carpentry, Sheetrocking, painting and door hardware installation skills
- Skills in organizing resources and establishing priorities
- Solid ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade
- Ability to work in elevated locations up to 36 feet
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance on a range of facility equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- General personal computer and related applications
- Requires heavy lifting, bending, pushing, and/or pulling of objects up to 75 lbs.
