Description : Purpose
Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the Warehouse.
Warehouse Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with shipping and receiving, loading & unloading trucks, and scheduling freight carriers to pick up and deliver freight.
Checking in merchandise matching purchase orders to part numbers (descriptions) as well as customer returned parts and non-inventoried items.
Reading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and / or shipped.
Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Filling sales orders, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated assembly area.
Ensuring warehouse is accessible and safe for associates and customer traffic.
Assembling customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department.
Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
Opening bales, crates, and other containers.
Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
Assisting in counting of physical inventory.
Weighing and counting items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards.
May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
Completing requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
Preparing parcels for shipment.
Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness / cleanliness at all times.
Other duties may be assigned.
Assembly Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble fittings, tubing, hoses and other products by following drawings and instructions.
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, drawings, and parts lists.
Inspects, adjusts, repairs, and tests products as necessary to meet customer requirements.
Gathers and positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and / or notifying Branch Manager to obtain additional resources.
Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs when required.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements :
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to read and interpret documents.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Ability stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Ability to regularly lift and / or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move more than one hundred pounds.
Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Experience and ability using computer programs preferred.
Physical Demands
May be required to stand for long periods of time.
May involve some repetitive motions.
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
