Position overview :
This position receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
Schedule is for day shift Monday through Thursday 6 : 00am-4 : 30pm with Fridays and weekends off.
This position is seasonal for a period of up to 6 months and employment may be terminated during that time. There is a possibility that the position may become permanent depending upon company need and job performance.
A day on the job may include :
- Assisting receiving loading and unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing
- Distributing products throughout the warehouse
- Delivering products to customer delivery points
- Performing preventive maintenance on equipment (delivery truck, forklift, etc.) and facilities
- Safely operating a forklift
- Pull and prepare internal orders for transportation
- Receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material
- Ensure warehouse is clean, organized, secure and safe at all times
- Assist drivers with deliveries as needed
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code
- Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program
- Assist in counting of physical inventory
- Other duties as assigned
