Salary :

Title : Field Mechanic

Location : Virginia Beach, VA

Electrical utility construction company seeking experienced Field Mechanic for repair of various utility equipment and trucks. This is a bargaining position that will be responsible for a large variety of repairs to support various job sites.

Job Requirements :

• Minimum 5 years heavy mechanic experience in related field;

Ability to diagnose and repair :

Brake systems; and

Must be willing to work OT and some weekends; and

CDL a plus.

Ideal candidate will be self motivated to learn about our company and equipment, take ownership in their position, and be able to think outside the box.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and carry the same for short distances and up and down stairs and steep inclines.

Ability to sit in awkward positions for long periods, standing on a variety of surfaces and at differing angles, bending over, crouching and climbing up and over various equipment.
