ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Incumbent must have the skills, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities:
MUST uphold all Safety Requirements and wear appropriate PPE as needed on the jobsite
Assist pipe crews to install unground pipe. Dig trenches, backfill excavations, compact and level earth to grade specifications using shovels, tampers and rakes. Move pipe and associated tools and materials. Clean up rubble and debris; perform other restoration such as blacktop and landscape. Perform technical construction and repair on major utility pipelines. Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment and materials. Prior pipeline construction and/or pipeline experience preferred. Working knowledge of general hand tools and power tools preferred. Ability to work in all types of weather
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug. Must be able to provide personal transportation to and from job site. Ability to travel as required to jobsite. Must be able to work overtime and weekends if needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS. Able to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds. Able to stand and walk the project site throughout each shift. Able to access all areas of a project site to inspect work and communicate with employees. Able to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction
