What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Wilson County Barbecue?
We are looking for an experienced, part-time Bartender to join us as part of our Team at Wilson County Barbecue in Portland, Maine! Nights & weekend availability required. $12.50 per hour tips.

- You have experience in a high-volume bar setting
- You ideally have TIPs alcohol procedures certification, alongside any State or County required license requirements for the service of food and alcohol
What You Will be Doing
- Making food and beverage recommendations to guest to best suit their preferences and personal tastes
- Serving food and beverage to guests at the bar and surrounding areas, ensuring that the presentation, consistency and timely preparation of all beverages is to the highest possible standards and that match our Company specifications
- Preparing beverages for guests in Server sections, upholding the same high standards as outlined above
- Interacting with guests
- Adhering to all local and state laws regarding the service of alcohol and food; including Steps of Service and alcohol service standards
- Ensuring that the bar and associated stations / areas, are kept stocked and are maintained in an organized, clean and sanitary manner
- Ensuring that all set-up and break-down tasks are completed to standard
- Assisting in representing the brand and business at the local level
- Having fun!
