What are the responsibilities and job description for the Managed Care Coordinator position at Wilson County Government?
The primary purpose of this position is to function as the Nurse Coordinator and serves as the nursing resource person within the Health Department for the Managed Care Program. This position will coordinate with Community Care Physician Network (CCPN) and health department assigned Managed Care processing assistant for all aspects of Managed Care Services. Position also interviews, counsels, and treats clients in all clinical areas within the Health Department.Work with Processing Assistants assigned to manage care programs to ensure there are no questions from patients assigned to Wilson County Health Department.
Initiates necessary referrals as per programmatic guidelines.
Stay current on NC Dispositions
Making sure all new providers have been credentialed through Community Care
Work as need in other Health Departments clinics and programs.
Initiates necessary referrals as per programmatic guidelines.
Maintains required personnel records(ex. time and travel)
Participates in program audits as neededMaster degree in Nursing or Graduation from a four year college or university with a B.S. Degree in Nursing, which includes a Public Health Nurse rotation and one year of experience in Public Health Nursing and completion of approximately three months of training that includes didactic and on-the-job supervising phase in the in the expanded role specialty to which assigned; or graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing, two years of professional nursing experience; one of which must have been in public health and completion of approximately three months of training that include didThis position requires a high level of accuracy in all aspects of the job. The greatest accuracy in this position requires appropriate interpretation of the assessment and evaluation of clients condition and environment.
