What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafeteria Staff - W. A. Wright Elementary School (full-time) position at Wilson County School District?
Qualified applicant is preferred to have a high school or General Equivalency diploma (GED), but not required. Minimum one (1) year of school nutrition/food service experience required.
The successful applicant will prepare and/or serve breakfast and/or lunch; Operate point of sale software during meal service; Oversee cafeteria function in manager’s absence; Assist in putting away weekly food deliveries; maintain cafeteria kitchens, serving areas, equipment and utensils in a clean and orderly condition.
Work environment includes, but not limited to, significant lifting (up to 30 lbs.), carrying, pushing and/or pulling and stooping. Generally, the job requires 50% walking and 50% standing.
This is a full-time, 180-day position with insurance and retirement benefits. Rate of pay will be determined by comparable work experience and placement on Grade 4 of the Hourly Support Salary Schedule. The starting rate of pay will be no less than $14.50 per hour.
