What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2023-24 BUS TECHNICIAN Applicant Pool position at Wilson County Schools, TN?
Qualified applicant must have HS Diploma or GED. It is preferred that the applicant have at least (3) years of previous school bus or medium/heavy truck experience including air brakes, diesel engines, and PM inspections. Must be able to obtain a CDL, Class B with passenger endorsement.
It is preferred that applicant have Cummins or Cat Mid-Range engine diagnostic and repair knowledge. Applicant needs experience in mechanical and electrical areas of engine repair and overhaul. Needs understanding of Cummins In-site and CAT ET software for engine diagnostic processes.
Applicant must be willing to become ASE Master Certified.

This is a 260-day (12 months) position with insurance and retirement benefits. Pay rate will be determined by experience and placement on Grade 8 (Non-ASE certified) or Grade 12 (ASE certified) on the Hourly Support Salary Schedule. Starting rate of pay will be no less than $17.49 per hour.
