Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to lead and oversee various projects from inception to completion for a property development company in Charleston, West Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within scope. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. The ideal candidate will have a project management or construction background with an emphasis on residential projects, including single family and multi-family housing or apartments.
Responsibilities
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Coordinate project activities across internal and external contractors and vendors, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Identify potential risks and implement risk management strategies to mitigate issues.
- Manage requirements gathering and documentation to ensure all project specifications are met.
- Utilize project management tools such as Smartsheet, Basecamp, Project Server, and SharePoint for tracking progress and reporting.
- Conduct regular project status meetings with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to enhance project efficiency and quality.
- Prepare technical documentation as required for project deliverables.
Experience
- Proven experience in project management with a solid understanding of methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with risk management practices and requirements management processes.
- Proficiency in using project management software including Smartsheet, Project Server, Basecamp, and SharePoint.
- Strong technical writing skills for creating clear project documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
