This position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.

The Position

We are looking for a capable Payroll Clerk to assist the Payroll team in overseeing the administrative payroll functions of the organization by ensuring that the payroll workflow is completed and provide assistance to all stakeholders within the payroll process. The ideal candidate would be a methodical, self-starter, coachable, and team player who is detail-oriented and takes pride in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing
  • Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees
  • Manage employee requests in payroll system including time off requests, direct deposit updates, tax updates, address changes
  • First point of contact to assist employees with payroll concerns
  • Investigate and resolve employee payroll concerns
  • Complete employment verifications
  • Ensure that all quarterly payroll returns are accounted for and filed
  • Manage customer service cases with payroll software provider
  • Manage tax agency account numbers relevant for tax filings

Qualifications

  • At least two years of payroll processing experience
  • Proven experience working within a Payroll/Human Resource capacity
  • Must have experience and knowledge of relevant software (e.g. UKG and Microsoft Office)
  • Experience in data collection, entry, and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and regulations
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solving
  • BS/BA in Accounting, Business Administration or Human Resources is a plus
