Wilson Engineers is an Arizona-based firm with a staff of more than 180 personnel specializing in water and wastewater engineering and construction management services. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our team. This position requires 40 hours per week on-site in our Tempe, AZ office. (This position on-site and is not hybrid nor remote.)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Proficient in the design of low voltage power distribution systems and lighting systems, including single-line diagrams, panel schedules, power plans, lighting plans, control schematics, conduit block diagrams, and installation details.
- Proficient in the design of industrial control systems, including network architecture diagrams, process and instrumentation diagrams and communications riser diagrams.
- Proficient in completing engineering calculations, including load summaries, breaker sizes, conduit and wire sizing, voltage drop, and fault current.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and AutoCAD software.
- Good understanding of the NFPA 70E National Electrical Code.
- Strong ability to work independently and efficiently on small to medium electrical and control system design projects.
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs and control descriptions.
- Experience in construction administration, field inspection, start-up and commissioning.
