Summary
As a Building Maintenance Technician at Wilson Manufacturing Company, you will be essential in ensuring our facilities are maintained to the highest standards. This role is critical in supporting our manufacturing operations and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities
- The Building Maintenance Tech will follow standard operating procedures, install, inspect, repair and do preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and waste management systems. The position will perform basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality and safety standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, or energy management systems, door hardware, and basic construction principals.
- Ability to read, understand and utilize wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings, and blueprints.
- HVAC repair and troubleshooting skills including rooftop units, chillers, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.
- Plumbing repairs and troubleshooting skills to include copper and PVC pipe repair and replacement.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on physical structures, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Work with subcontractors and vendors as needed.
- Maintains accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, service requests (received and completed), expenditures, work-in-progress, etc.
- Schedules and performs minor and routine maintenance on all appropriate equipment on a regular basis.
- Inspects and maintains all tools in excellent condition.
- Diagnoses and performs minor and routine maintenance/repair
- Ability to climb and work from ladders or lifts, and the ability to repeatedly lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.)
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or in a similar maintenance role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in building systems maintenance.
- Knowledge and Certification of HVAC/R systems is required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
