Now, let's talk about your responsibilities.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings primarily using Bluebeam. Some AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator are used, as well. Your duties will involve reading blueprints and specifications provided by clients, architects, and engineers, along with developing positive relationships with various cities and jurisdictions.
- Determine proper location of calculate correct measurements to location drain and water lines.
- Prepare detailed drawings for permitting and construction in Bluebeam in accordance with existing master plans.
- Read blueprints and specifications provided by client, Architect, and engineer.
- Ability to interact, develop and maintain a positive relationship with different cities/jurisdictions.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes.
- Provide hard copies and electronic copies for internal and external use.
- Assist estimating team as needed.
- Provide support to the field and office with questions related to the drawings
Job requirements
- Plumbing experience is a huge plus but not required
- Bluebeam and AutoCAD are not required but is a plus
- Ability to interpret and work with blueprints, specifications, and project requirements
- Some knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to plumbing design
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with builders, plumbing superintendents and homeowners
- Capability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) design principles
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be comfortable working in a very fast paced and detailed office.
- Must be able to work with various personalities and backgrounds.
