What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN - Skilled Nursing, PRN position at Wilson Medical Center?
.Under the general supervision of the Director of Nursing Services, and according to established policies and procedures, administers nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Work is of a highly confidential nature. Performs other work of the department as required.
.Required Skills;
• The employee must have the ability to understand, communicate and react effectively to the unique needs
of adult and geriatric patients.
Required License/Certifications:
• Graduation from a Nursing Education program and current licensure to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in North Carolina.
*In some states starting in 1970, LPNs graduated High School with an LPN license in lieu of going to Community College. As long as the employee has a license to practice LPN, this is acceptable.
• BLS certification required, or obtained during the first week of hire.
