What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Nursing Director position at Wilson Medical Center?
Directs activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the organization. Participates in the strategic plans of the organization by assisting in the development of specific objectives and achieving plan goals. Under the general direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Senior Nursing Officer develops, implements, leads, and evaluates all aspects of management and ensures the provision of quality patient /family centered care for the Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Intensive Care, and Intermediate Care Units.
Job Requirements
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Current AHA BLS required; ACLS within 60 days of hire. Specialty certification, preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum three years in healthcare management or related field, required. Minimum of five years of clinical experience in ICU/CCU; will consider other applicable clinical areas in lieu of direct ICU/CCU experience.
Required Licenses
[North Carolina, United States] Registered Nurse Current NC nursing license.
