Dance Instructors/Choreographers: Part-time- (Charlottesville/Albemarle Co)
Hip Hop * Lyrical *Jazz* Tap* Ballet* Children's Dance - Princess Ballet, Parent & Me, Interm/Adv Ballet, Contemporary. Any one of these styles is fine in order to apply.
Compensation: competitive - based on experience (per class, per hour)
Part time - hiring now for 2025-2026 School Year. Late August 2025- May 2026
If you have a passion for dance and love teaching, this could be the place for you! Some of our instructors teach only 2-3 classes others much more. We are flexible to work some initial class schedules around teachers. Schedules , once set, remain through mid-May 2026. Team players with a positive attitude are highly valued here.
Instructors are needed for:
- Hip Hop - beginning - intermediate levels.
- Pointe & Intermediate/Advanced Ballet --must have prior experience teaching
- Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary: Beginners - teens/adults through upper levels
- Jazz, Tap, Yoga, Fitness classes -- Various levels, ages.
- Children's Dance, Princess Ballet, Creative movement, Combo classes. Ages 3-6
- Timing/Dates: late August 2025 - mid May 2026
- We are an established dance school with several part-time positions open. We have a very positive, encouraging, family atmosphere, with a discipline for dance technique as students progress.
- Prior teaching experience is required for most classes (dance major or minor is helpful). We are willing to train dancers with the qualified background for specific classes, events, and programs.
- All must be reliable team players, with integrity and a positive attitude, who enjoy working with children, teens, some adults.
- Strong choreography skills are helpful; the ability to joyfully relate well to students while encouraging them to work on dance technique is a must.
