Overview
Wilson Tax Law Group, APLC, based in Orange County, CA, is seeking a highly motivated Associate Tax Attorney with a minimum of one to three years of professional experience to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing domestic and international tax-related legal defense and litigation services to clients.
Duties
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to federal and state tax laws.
- Formulate and evaluate tax planning strategies, compliance, and controversy issues.
- Review tax documents, including tax returns, agreements, agency notices and legal briefs.
- Maintain accurate records of each client’s tax situation.
- Represent clients in tax disputes and audits before relevant authorities.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and provide timely updates to clients.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement tax-efficient strategies.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or taxation
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Certifications: Admitted to the California State Bar required
- LLM in Taxation from an accredited law school is preferred
Experience:
- 1-3 years as Associate Tax Attorney required
- Tax Litigation experience is a plus
- Experience in writing tax briefs is a plus
