Job Overview
Wilson Transportation is seeking to hire an individual responsible for assisting with our new business development and account growth in the fast-paced logistics world. This position has a base salary with commission/bonuses, and it is undetermined whether this position will be in office, remote, or hybrid. Business hours are 7 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday, but hours could vary based on time zones of assigned businesses.
Core Responsibilities
- B2B sales and networking.
- Create leads and capitalize on referrals.
- Handle high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external customers.
- Develop and maintain accurate schedules.
- Manage loads from start to finish.
- Negotiate rates with carriers.
- Competitively bid freight on load boards.
- Manage margins and increase profitability.
- Proactively cover freight.

Compensation
Salary based on experience plus commission on new customer acquisitions and freight procurement.
