Director of Maintenance

Wilton Meadows Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is looking for a Full-time dynamic, “hands-on” Maintenance Supervisor". This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified applicant with the mechanical expertise and commitment to bring our team to a new level of excellence. This position assumes a key leadership role in helping to meet business objectives, while ensuring optimum maintenance of all equipment, facilities and grounds.

Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Organize and coordinate all functions of the day to day operations of the physical plant and grounds in a health care setting
• Implement and ensure compliance with preventive maintenance protocols and policies regarding the repair and inspection of all equipment and systems
• Working knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations, OSHA Standards and Life Safety Codes, including local, state and Public Health Code requirements, and NFPA standards
• General knowledge of plant operations including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Perform routine mechanical and structural repairs
• Perform quality control inspections to ensure adherence to industry standards
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays and evenings, as well as be on call 24 hours, as required
• Perform other duties and special projects, when necessary
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of physical plant employees and contractors.
• Evaluate the need for training and safety programs
• Adherence to the principals of resident rights and confidentiality
• Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to help identify and resolve safety and operational concerns

Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications:

• Must have the ability to demonstrate a commitment to customer service excellence in all interactions with clients and the clinical team
• Demonstrate cooperation in assisting others and the ability to work as a team
• Identify and prioritize tasks and activities involved in the day to day operations of the physical plant
• Experience in estimating maintenance and repair costs, as well as procuring cost effective services in accordance with best practices
• Experience plant operations and maintenance
• Proven management and leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate personnel to strive for work excellence
• Ability to plan, organize and multi-task
• Experience in identifying deferred maintenance and long-range project goals
• Ability to communicate effectively with both a diverse clientele and workforce through sound business decisions, diplomacy and discretion
