Our client is a Seattle-based company specializing in AI-powered application security solutions. Their platform automates penetration testing to identify, exploit, and remediate vulnerabilities in software applications. By understanding the business context and technical architecture of an application, the company creates custom test plans that deliver consistent and scalable results, often within 15 minutes and without human intervention. This approach enables organizations to conduct frequent and thorough security assessments, ensuring robust protection against potential threats. They are looking for a Backend Developer who will contribute to the development of AI-powered application security solutions. This position involves integrating generative AI models into backend systems to enhance cybersecurity capabilities. WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Integrate generative AI models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere) into backend systems.
- Design, build, and optimize scalable backend systems, including containerized deployments across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Collaborate with the team to influence backend design decisions and implement robust database/storage technologies (SQL, NoSQL, graph).
- Stay updated with academic research and developments in application security and AI.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 5 years of experience in software development
- Proficient in a backend language (Go, Typescript, Python, etc)
- Experienced with databases (SQL, No SQL, graph) and storage technologies
- Experience optimizing containerized deployments (Cloud, On-Prem, local)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong English language communication skills
- Experience building a SaaS platform
- Experience with generative AI models and APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere)
- Understanding of application security fundamentals
- Experience with other machine learning systems
Must be able to work for a US based company without requiring visa sponsorship.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Base salary range of $140,000 to $170,000 (plus equity) based on experience and qualifications, as well as geographical market and business considerations.
