Laborer

Win Gardens Greenhouse is hiring entry level employees to help assist with day-to-day greenhouse tasks at our 1-acre facility in Fruita, Colorado. The greenhouse general laborer position consists of responsibilities assigned by the site general manager. We are hiring ASAP.

Pay

$16/hr

Hours Part-time & Full-time positions available.

Full-time:

8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday

• 15-minute paid coffee break at 10:00 a.m.
• 30-minute unpaid lunch break at 12:30 p.m.
• 15-minute paid break at 3:00 p.m.

Part-time:

8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

• 15-minute paid coffee break at 10:00 a.m.

Main Responsibilities

Standard duties that come with working in a production greenhouse:

-Transplant fragile plants; requires standing for long periods and getting your hands dirty from the soil

-Space pots within the greenhouse, moving crops from one zone to another; this requires bending over

-Assemble and disassemble growing carts

-Load and unload pots/plants/flats

-Put stickers & tags on pots and/or finished plant products

-Help pull orders by understanding where the plant products are in the greenhouse and knowing their names & sizes

-Keep the site clean, organized, and free of trash and personal belongings

-Maintain the weeds around the greenhouse and other landscaping duties as assigned

-Other greenhouse-related duties as assigned

The greenhouse requires work that can be seen as monotonous to some and really enriching to others. Please consider the main responsibilities of this job carefully before applying.

Please note, in order to do this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; and extreme heat and humidity in the greenhouse. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
