What are the responsibilities and job description for the Level A Compactor Repair Tech position at WIN Waste Innovations?
WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Compactor Repair Technician.
Responsibilities:
- Compactor repair and diagnosis - on the road and in the shop
- Pre trip and maintain service truck integrity -communicate defects to shop via dvir daily
- Must be safety conscious and follow all our procedures for lock out tag out - High risk for incident
- Must have complete working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical components. Not limited to, but primarily, Self-Contained VIP, Mini Mac .
- Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
Requirements:
- Four years of proven experience in the field
- Ability to work an average of 45 hours a week. Monday-Friday and rotating Saturdays
- Must have Knowledge of high voltage - 208v, 460/480v, & 120v (low)
- Certification for electric, or compactor repair CERT a major plus
- Welding/fabrication experience, a major plus
- Must have clean Driving license & DOT permit 26,000 and under.
- Must possess ability to weld mild steel, Stick (electrode) Metal Inert Gas (MIG) and also use oxygen acetylene torch.
- Ability to read electronic diagram, a plus
Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
- Strenuous physical work, to include heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling
- Ability to adapt to a wide variety of environments to complete work assignments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to maintain and supply own personal tools needed to perform essential duties
- This position is a mobile position and shop.
