Winchendon Public Schools is seeking an experienced Educational Support Professional to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with students who require moderate to severe special needs support.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic instruction and learning support to students with IEPs, as well as overseeing support services and directing the work of paraprofessionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate data collection procedures and graphing student progress
- Writing progress reports and creating materials and visual supports for students
- Embedding social skills and providing supports for students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Providing specialized academic instruction and learning for students with IEPs
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- DESE certification in moderate/severe special needs
- SEI Endorsement
- Two years of relevant experience working with students with special needs
- Knowledge of Special Education regulations and familiarity with diverse disabilities
