The Purchasing Assistant will provide support to vendors, Dunhill construction and fellow purchasing team members as those teams work together to manage the working relationships between all parties. This individual should demonstrate a strong analytical ability and aptitude for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data in residential construction.
Tasks
- Responsibility run monthly / weekly reports to ensure we are maintaining our department work standards.
- Conduct monthly price audit
- Run and analyze variance reports
- Managing Rebates
- Quarterly Trade Surveys in construction, Warranty, Accounting and Purchasing and report findings
- Maintains data in the purchase order system
- Interacts and engages with vendors in order to present and explain pricing, products, and services
- Supports Purchasing Coordinators and Managers
- Other duties as assigned
Abilities
- Basic working knowledge of purchasing policies, processes, and procedures
- Must have basic knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
- Hyphen BRIX/BuildPro experience preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Extremely well organized, able to multi-task and prioritize
- Attention to detail and persistence in follow-up
- Basic computer skills
Education & Experience
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in purchasing: Home Building preferred
