Duties
- Oversee daily plant operations to ensure production goals are met efficiently and effectively.
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing practices to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Manage the supply chain process, including inventory control, procurement, and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to assemble and fabricate products according to specifications.
- Utilize MRP systems to manage production schedules and resource allocation.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor quality control measures.
- Provide leadership, training, and development opportunities for plant staff to foster a high-performance culture.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain strong communication with upper management regarding plant performance and operational challenges.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plant management or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of MRP systems, SAP, lean manufacturing principles, and quality control processes.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Experience in production management with a focus on optimizing operational efficiency.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
