The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the quality control processes within the organization to ensure that products meet established standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role involves developing and implementing quality control policies, working closely with all departments to maintain high-quality standards, and representing the company on visits with customers and vendors to discuss and address all quality control aspects, ensuring clear communication and resolution of any quality-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Quality Control Policies: Create and implement quality control policies and procedures to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Manage Quality Control Team: Lead and manage a team of quality control inspectors, providing guidance, training and support.
  • Conduct Inspections: Oversee the inspection of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Analyze Data: Collect and analyze quality control data to identify trends, root causes of defects and areas for improvement.
  • Implement Corrective Action: Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with production engineering and other departments to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.
  • Maintain Documentation: Ensure all quality control documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and corrective action records are accurate and up to date.
  • Conduct Audits: Perform regular internal audits to ensure compliance with quality control policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Train Employees: Provide training to employees on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Customer and Vendor Visits: Represent the company in visits with customers and vendors to discuss and address all quality control aspects, ensuring clear communication and resolution of any quality-related issues.

Safety Procedures:

  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all quality control activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Promote Safe Work Practices: encourage and enforce safe work practices among the quality control team.
  • Report Safety Hazards: Immediately report an safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent: a bachelor's degree in quality management, engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in quality control management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control standards and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods during inspections.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle small tools and parts.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as needed.

Additional Responsibilities: The employee shall undertake any additional tasks as required by the company, in line with the job description and under the guidance and supervision of the company. These tasks will be performed a times and locations deemed reasonable by the company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
