Position Overview : The experienced HVAC Technician will service, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units / equipment for commercial customers. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the commercial HVAC industry and is motivated to do quality work, plus further their career.
Key Responsibilities :
- Service, repair, and maintenance of HVAC equipment at commercial buildings.
- Wire low voltage to cooling and heating equipment
- Install refrigerant lines to AC units, including copper brazing and soldering and pressing
- Ensure proper connection of gas lines to heating equipment
- Determine the right material needed for installation work by pre-measuring jobs
- Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical and electrical components of HVAC systems
- Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate systems
- Maintain and submit service call reports or start-up reports for new and / or replaced units
- Provide technical direction and on-the-job training of HVAC Apprentices and Helpers
- Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies
- Identify and report to management potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts and additional services)
