What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Winchester Neurological Consultants?

We are in need of medical receptionists that are interested in providing the highest quality care for all our patients. We have opportunities in our clinic, neuro lab, and sleep center. Job duties include:
- Answering high volume of phone calls, scanning, faxing, copying, etc.
- Checking in patients for clinic and lab appointments.
- Checking out patients—ensuring that they are properly scheduled for future appointments, providing care and prep instructions for lab, sending out referrals and orders for various imaging or testing, etc.
- Confirmation calls.
- Managing physician referrals and reaching out to schedule new patients in a timely fashion.
- Communicating with coworkers to include administrative personnel, nurses, and physicians in order to coordinate patient care.
- Follow OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform other tasks or services deemed necessary

Previous experience in a medical setting is appreciated but not required. We are willing to provide training and guidance to help you be successful.
