What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telephone Triage and Pharmacy Nurse - RN position at Winchester Neurological Consultants?
Are you happiest when helping others? Are you a nurse looking for a change of pace? We are in need of an RN who is interested in providing the highest quality care for all our patients. This is an in-office, desk job where the majority of your interaction with patients will be over the phone.
Our nurse must have the ability to:
- Access patients' health information profiles in various systems in order to help our patients over the phone.
- Actively listen to what the patient is saying to provide patient education and exceptional service.
- Screen patient symptoms to accurately assess the each patient's condition and provide subsequent clinical advice, advise to make an appointment, or refer out.
- Assess the level of urgency and prioritize patient concerns.
- Assist the clinical and administrative staff by handling healthcare inquiries that do not require making an appointment.
- Send out new prescriptions and refills via fax and eRx systems. We use Allscripts and CoverMyMeds.
- Communicate with multiple providers and administrative staff to give our patients the care that they deserve. Comfortable when confronting providers with urgent matters.
- Learn as you go and ask questions when you need help.

Requirements:
- Nursing license (LPN or RN)
- CPR Certification
- Previous bedside experience (preferred hospital experience)
- Must be able to work in-office during business hours of 8:30am to 5pm. Remote work is not available.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
