What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher - High School (LOA) 1416 position at Winchester Public Schools?
Winchester Public Schools is seeking a LOA Special Education Teacher for grades 9-12:
- to provide specialized language-based instruction for students on IEPs within the small group and general education English setting
- training and/or certification in specialized reading programs such as Wilson, Orton-Gillingham, and/or Landmark writing is preferred
- candidates should have a strong working knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs, data collection and analysis, and facilitating TEAM meetings
- candidates should have strong communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families
- training or experience in teaching and facilitating executive functioning instruction is also preferred.
- Must hold a valid DESE Teacher Certification in Special Education grades 9-12
- Ideally holds a Master's degree plus 3 years of experience
