Summary :
Primary responsibility is providing assistance to students receiving special education services in an inclusion classroom. As directed by the principal and classroom teacher, the teaching assistant will also : work with individual or small groups of students in an instructional capacity, supervise students during other activities such as lunch, and assist in completing necessary paperwork.
Qualifications :
Applicants must meet the requirements for a Title I paraprofessional, including :
Must have a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent and
Must have met one of the following options :
- Completed two years of study at an institution of higher education (48 credit hours); or
- Obtained an associate's (or higher) degree; or
- Have passed the Parapro Assessment through ETS.
- Proof of highly qualified certification must be attached to your application to be considered for this position.
Salary :
Range for 2024-2025 is $15.29 to $31.48 per hour plus full benefits package.
Workday :
Full time / 10 month (183 days) position, 7 hours per day
