About the Winchester Royals:

The Winchester Royals, Inc. are a wooden-bat, summer-league baseball team for active college student athletes that has represented the Winchester community for over 40 years. The Royals strive to provide Winchester with a top-tier, hometown sports team experience. Every summer, families, baseball fans, college and pro scouts have come out to Jim Barnett Park’s Bridgeforth Stadium to watch players from some of the nation’s top college baseball programs represent the Winchester community. The Royals are a member of the 12-team Valley Baseball League and have won a record 13 VBL Championships.

The Sponsorship Sales Representative will be responsible for prospecting and securing sponsorships for the Winchester Royals’ 2025 summer baseball season. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong sales skills, excellent communication abilities, a network of Winchester community contacts and a passion for community involvement.

Key Responsibilities:

· Meet or exceed sponsorship sales goals for the season.

· Identify potential sponsors, including local businesses, organizations, and corporate entities.

· Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Winchester Royals’ brand, audience, and sponsorship offerings.

· Negotiate sponsorship agreements within assigned parameters and ensure all details are clearly communicated and documented.

· Build relationships with sponsors, ensuring a positive experience throughout the sponsorship process.

· Collaborate with the Royals Board of Directors to ensure fulfillment of sponsor benefits.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience in sales, sponsorship, or fundraising.

· Strong networking and relationship-building skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

· Passion for sports and an understanding of the benefits of community engagement through baseball.

· Familiarity with the Winchester, VA area and local business community is a plus.

Compensation:

This is a 100% commission-based position. Details will be provided in next phase of the hiring process.

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
