As we expand our Roofing Division, we are seeking an experienced Roofing Insurance Claims Specialist to spearhead our efforts in insurance-based roofing projects. We are looking for a Roofing Insurance Claims Specialist to develop and execute an insurance-based roofing strategy for our company. This role requires expertise in navigating homeowner insurance claims, working directly with insurance adjusters, and maximizing claim approvals to help homeowners receive the roofing services they need. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance restoration, Xactimate estimating, policy interpretation, and supplementing claims.
Develop and implement Insurance Processes: Establish a structured insurance claim workflow for our Roofing Division, ensuring seamless integration with our existing retail roofing business.
· Manage Insurance Claims: Assist homeowners with the insurance claim process, including initial claim filing, adjuster meetings, and supplementing when necessary.
· Work with Adjusters: Communicate effectively and negotiate with insurance adjusters to ensure fair claim settlements.
· Estimate Using Xactimate: To align with insurance company requirements, prepare accurate roofing estimates using Xactimate software.
· Educate Sales Team: Train our roofing sales team on best practices for handling insurance claims, including identifying storm damage and advocating for customers.
· Maximize Claim Approvals: Identify opportunities for supplements and ensure customers receive full insurance payouts for their roofing projects.
· Compliance & Documentation: Document all claims, supplements, and communications thoroughly and accurately to ensure compliance with insurance guidelines.
· Customer Advocacy: Serve as a trusted advisor to homeowners, guiding them through the claims process and ensuring they receive the best possible outcome.
- Proven experience (2 years) in insurance-based roofing sales, claims adjusting, or insurance restoration.
- Expertise with Xactimate (must be able to write estimates, submit supplements, and justify claim values).
- Strong relationships with insurance carriers and adjusters (preferred).
- Knowledge of insurance policies, claim procedures, and storm damage assessment.
- Ability to train and mentor a sales team on roofing insurance claims and best practices.
- Excellent negotiation skills to ensure fair settlements with insurance companies.
- Familiarity with local building codes, permit requirements, and manufacturer warranties.
- Ability to travel locally for adjuster meetings and inspections.
- Strong communication and customer service skills to work effectively with homeowners.
