What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Wind River Hotel and Casino?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mixes ingredients to prepare beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
- Interacts verbally with all bar guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere. Provides exceptional customer service to all guests.
- Assist with inventory and inventory control.
- Completes assigned opening and closing side work.
- Slices fruit and vegetable garnishes for drinks, if required.
- Presents checks to bar patrons. Makes correct change and/or completes any necessary charge transactions.
- Prepares drinks for bar and grill servers to serve to customers.
- Must at all times demonstrate ethical and cooperative behavior with guests, co-workers and the supervisor.
- Must adhere to Food & Beverage and company policies and procedures.
- Additional duties as required.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent and six months to one (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Basic mathematical skills, such as the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES:
Must be able to obtain a Wyoming Alcohol Servers Certification.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk short distances around the bar with occasional requirement to bend, lift, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; and talk or hear.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Walking/Standing -70% (position requires the ability to stand and/or walk the majority of the time)
Bending - 20%
Lifting - 10% (up to 30-50 lbs).
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS:
Restaurants/Sportsbook/Hotel Room area. Casino environment exposed to bright lights, noise, smoke, and varied temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Exposed to unrestricted second-hand smoke.
