What are the responsibilities and job description for the Northern Arapaho Educator position at Wind River Hotel and Casino?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome visitors with exemplary customer service to the Northern Arapaho Experience Room.
- Knowledge and understand of the history of the Arapahoe People past and present.
- Knowledge of permissible stories to tell and meanings.
- Guides and teaches visitors about exhibits, history, and meanings.
- Answers questions about objects on displays.
- Explains native crafts, uses, and meanings.
- Switches out artifacts, documents, and displays new items.
- Arrange and help with, blessing of exhibits in and out of room.
- Keeps the Experience room clean and items well displayed.
- Coordinate craft fairs and teaching sessions for schools, groups, and others.
- Continue to expand into a highly successful, service oriented, display of exhibits, and educational awareness sharing our knowledge of the Northern Arapaho Tribe.
- Follow and adhere to all policy and procedure as stated in the Wind River Hotel and Casino Employee Handbook.
- Practice and always maintain confidentiality.
- Attend all mandatory meetings.
- All other duties assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
- Adjust to a flexible schedule and be reliable.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Must be dependable, reliable, and able to work alternating shifts including peak hours, promotions, holidays, and weekends.
- Must be 18 at time of hire.
- Must be able to demonstrate their US work authorization during the employment verification process.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment Drug Test.
- Must have a valid Wyoming Driver’s License.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
