What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor position at Wind River Hotel and Casino?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform employee and casino floor financial transactions (i.e., tils & tip drops, event drops, fills, credits, etc.) in accordance with prescribed procedures.
- Prepare cash deposits to the bank, check deposits and ordering change coin currency.
- Perform guest financial transactions (i.e., ticket redemptions, voucher redemptions, check cashing, credit advances, chip sales/redemptions, etc.) in accordance with prescribed procedures when business or scheduling demands warrant.
- Verify the drop of gaming proceeds and accept accountability for such Soft Count in accordance with prescribed procedures.
- Maintain security and balancing of cash and cash equivalents in their accountability. Responsible for accurate cash handling of large amounts during their shift.
- Maintain an organized workstation. Ensure shift-end paperwork is properly organized, totaled and balanced in accordance with prescribed procedures.
- Audit and fill all kiosk & ATM machines on the gaming floor accordingly.
- Ensure a high level of customer service through an upbeat and positive attitude, friendly and helpful service in a polite, professional manner. Comply with company policies regarding Code of Conduct.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements, including all tribal ordinance, regulations, minimum internal control standards (MICS), system of internal controls (SICS), NIGC and Casino’s Policies and Procedures pertaining to Cage & Vault transactions.
- Provides continuous, prompt, and courteous service to guests.
- Answer patron questions about the reward card, coupons, vouchers, and promotions details.
- Register and update Patron information for the Rewards Club.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise, train and cross-train Cage Cashiers, (redemptions, change, jackpot pay and hopper fill) and Vault Cashiers under supervision.
- Discipline (D.A.N.) vault cashiers & cage cashiers under your supervision.
- Evaluate vault cashiers & cage cashiers for their 90 day /annual reviews alongside Manager.

REQUIREMENTS
- GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18 at time of hire.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Proven ability to work with numbers and cash accurately.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to operate calculators, computers, and money counters for cash and coin.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with frequent changes, delays and unexpected events.
- Basic analytical and deductive reasoning ability. Must be competent in computer skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSCIAL DEMANDS:
- To perform this successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 mile or more during a shift, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/workstation for the duration of the shift. Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
- Typically, the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs., on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
