DESCRIPTION : A Promotion Manager is responsible for creating, writing rules for, marketing, and running casino promotions. They work in conjunction with advertising and marketing to generate patrons for their promotions. The Promotion Manager must train and prepare all staff regarding promotions and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. They should be highly organized, an accomplished problem solver, and able to work well alone or with a team, always representing the casino in a positive manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the promotions department.
  • Establishes and maintains compliance with internal controls, standard operating procedures, and regulations.
  • Provides direction to staff and assistance to the Director for implementing new practices and procedures.
  • Maintains current knowledge of and implements changes based on established policies and procedures.
  • Designs and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to accomplish goals and objectives; recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates Promotion Department employees.
  • Establishes and implements short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Demonstrates leadership by interacting actively and professionally.
  • Attends all mandatory manager training classes.
  • Performs additional duties as necessary.
  • Maintains reasonable overtime in the Promotion department.

  • REQUIREMENTS :

  • Complies with policies and procedures at all times.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of basic casino operations and promotions.
  • Available nights, weekends, holidays, and other times as deemed fit by the Director of Marketing.
  • Demonstrates ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
  • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
  • Must have significant experience in a gaming environment.
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

    Casino / Hotel / Marketing experience is a plus. Ability to obtain / renew all government-required licenses or certification. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a track record of performing each essential responsibility satisfactorily.

    EDUCATION :

    Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS :

    Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Must possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts and employees at all levels. Must possess a strong attention to detail.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to create and interpret bar graphs.

    REASONING ABILITY :

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions through decisive judgment.

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS :

    Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Champion of Customer Service and building positive team spirit. Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino; speak and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :

  • Must be 21 at time of hire.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs or more.
  • Must be able to demonstrate US work authorization during the employment verification process.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
