Position Summary

Wind River Payments has an exciting opportunity for the right person as we expand our risk and compliance depth. Through investment in technology and software development, Wind River is poised for significant growth as we broaden our focus in FinTech. As a member of our team, you will be integral in supporting the development and maintenance of systems and solutions that will enable our transformational growth!

The Director, Risk & Compliance (DRC) will hold key responsibilities for developing, implementing, and monitoring effective risk management and compliance programs to mitigate risks, meet all industry compliance requirements, and protect the company's assets and reputation. The DRC will oversee all aspects of credit risk and loss exposure, and will lead a team of analysts to underwrite new customers, manage fraud detection and prevention efforts, and oversee the dispute resolution process.


The Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of progressively more responsible roles in Risk Management, Compliance, or related area, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Prior experience managing and leading a team.
  • Experience in Payments, Fintech, Banking, or closely related field
  • Strong knowledge of financial services industry standards and best practices related to financial and payment related systems
  • Familiarity and understanding of money movement, payment processing, payment networks, disbursement of funds, and payment platforms
  • Demonstrated business, financial and technological acumen
  • Strategic thinker with ability to assess risk and exercise judgment concerning complex problems
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in easily understood terms
  • Strong investigative, analytical, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and complete work in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and decision making
