Shipping Expeditor

Job summary

This job will be responsible for ensuring that all shipments meet customer demands and company standards. In all tasks, the shipping manager must meet company safety standards to ensure the work environment is safe for themselves and their team.

Your main duties will be:

Managing and overseeing the shipments and Determines shipping priorities and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules is key.

Assure timely Preparation for shipment orders, including shipment documentation and packaging of orders, with strong attention to detail.

Checking all files/orders/customer sequence for possible loads/late orders and notify shipping supervisor.

Resolving non-compliance problems and reporting to the management.

Working with the shipping team and make sure all departments involved work in harmony to meet shipping schedules.

Schedule and align shipping dates to minimize deliveries and optimize on-time shipping

Communicate shipping and delivery instructions with plant and field sales

Resolve expediting issues with suppliers, plants and warehouses

Reconcile internal order holds .

Identify areas impacting on time shipping works collaborative to rectify

Support Rep and Inside Sales team

Prioritize orders based on customer need and plant capacity

Follow up on all orders to ensure customer satisfaction

Work collaboratively with shipping, planning, and other departments in plant environment

Required qualifications

Bachelor’s degree is required.

Strong managerial and interpersonal skills .

minimum of three years' experience within the same role in manufacturing environment.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively balancing multiple concurrent assignments.

Must have a demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Physical requirements

Ability to perform tasks involving moderately heavy objects (20-50 pounds)

Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling , as well as frequent movement (walking) throughout the warehouse
