Job Summary
Sr. GL Accountant will be responsible for creating accurate and compliant financial documents. He needs to be able to perform complex accounting functions. The duties include assuming a leadership role to guide accounting personnel in daily tasks, reviewing financial data to make forecasting decisions, and communicating with company Executives about financial strategies. Job Description :
Prepare accurate financial information with the help of input from the finance team on time.Ensure the integrity of accounting information by verifying, allocating, posting, and entering transactions.Prepare error-free accounting reports and their results.Conduct account reconciliation regularly on a monthly or quarterly basis.Reconcile bank statements dailyReconcile credit card statement biweeklyReconcile payroll monthlyAnalyze the financial statements for any discrepancies and issues.Identify accounting errors and take actions for improvement.Analyze and reconcile inter-company transactions weeklyReview accounting systems and make suggestions for improvements.Guide the financial transactions (AP / AR) team in using the right GL codesMaintain the month-end and year-end closing process.Manage and maintain general ledgers.Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.Develop financial procedures to improve efficiency.Prepare and summarize all the transaction reports and financial status which includes a balance sheet, profit & loss, and cash flow statement.Present financial reports to higher management and Accountants.Coordinate the external audit activitiesStay up-to-date with the latest business trends.Competencies

Bachelor’s degree in accountingMinimum 6 years of experience in a similar role including a minimum of 3 years of an exemplary experience in public accounting firmsCPA is preferredStrong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.Practical knowledge of Financial Reporting; and advanced Excel skillsProven experience in monthly closing activities and financial reportingAbility to conduct and run meetings / presentation with business units, top management, and other finance unit leaders.Prepare, review, and approve the most complex journal entries, consolidated statements, and balance sheet reconciliation.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office setting. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines to perform day to day duties and activities.
