Job Title : Part-Time Residential Assistant
Location : Windermere PreparatoryResidential Village - Windermere, FL
Supervisor : Director of Residential Life
Hourly, part-time position ( 10 month)
The Part-time Residential Assistant is a part-time, hourly position within Residential Life that supports the Residential Dorm Parents and ResLife Admin Team with the supervision and chaperoning of the boarding students as well as the administration of daily ResLife duties and needs.
Specific Duties:
● Occasionally drive a van to shuttle students to activities or run errands for ResLife
● Chaperone students on activities as assigned
● Supervise students in the dorms by monitoring the duty phone, checking students in and out on REACH, and periodically passing through the dorms, including student rooms
● Enforce all dorm policies and issue consequences as appropriate
● Record all infractions, including reporting major ones to the ResLife Admin Team via email (through REACH) when appropriate
● Provide and update the ResLife Team with availability to work in advance
● Read all ResLife Admin emails, staying up-to-date on any policy, procedural, or scheduling changes
● Other additional duties as needed
Job Requirements:
● High School Diploma, Associate’s Degree preferred
● Ability to work flexible hours
● Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s license
● Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
● Ability to go up and down stairs several times a day
● Ability to carry loads 25lbs and more
● Work evenings 4-11pm and weekends. Some weekdays possible
● Work with a team of 5 to organize the monthly schedule
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
