Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of goods including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in flavor and presentation.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with creativity and attention to detail.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients, reporting shortages as needed.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, and other baking tools.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and seasonal offerings.
- Ensure all baked goods are presented attractively for display.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within a culinary or restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Proficiency in using kitchen tools such as knives, mixers, ovens, and other baking equipment.
- Experience with pastry making, cake decorating, and various baking methods is preferred.
