What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Shift Cashier position at Windham IGA?
We are looking for great people to work with! We have a opening for day shift cashiers. This schedule us usually out by 3-3:30pm daily.
Cashiers provide fast, friendly, and accurate check out services for our customers using computerized cash register systems. Accuracy and basic math skills are important, as is the ability to memorize product identification codes and weekly ad specials. Cashiers often bag their customers' orders and help shoppers find items in the store. They assist in the cleaning and dusting of the check stands and surrounding areas and may take “return” products back to proper shelf locations along with other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to frequently lift 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
