The Windham Police services a community of approximately 14,500 residents, 4 schools and many businesses. Windham is located in southern NH just off Interstate 93 – Exit 3.
THIS IS A ROLLING APPLICATION PROCESS
Compensation and Benefits: Wages are based on a three-step scale, starting at $64k up to $77k. Eleven (11) paid holidays, Medical, Dental and life insurance. Accrual of earned time. Officer’s typically work 4/2 schedule and rotate every six (6) months based on seniority. Participation in Group II of the NH Retirement System. Full uniform and equipment provided by the department.
Minimum Requirements: Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen; must be 21 years old by the anticipated date of the agility test. Applicants must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Candidates must meet the Physical Fitness Testing minimums.
Hiring Process: The hiring process consists of a medical screening, physical agility test, interviews, polygraph examination, in depth background investigation, psychological evaluation, drug screening and a Chief interview.
