Job Title: Administrative Assistant II-Campus
Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt
Pay Group: P10 Salary Plan
Primary Purpose: Provide assistance to the unit principal, provide clerical and general secretarial support in the day-to-day operations of the education office.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Experience:
High school diploma from an accredited high school or hold GED.
Three years of full-time, wage-earning general clerical/secretarial experience.
Ability to type 45 net words per minute with no more than ten errors verified by the appropriate Texas Workforce Commission or TDCJ typing test preferred.
This position requires personal technology that will enable the completion of job duties and responsibilities when working remotely.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Skill to interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of agency and departmental policies.
Ability to organize and maintain correspondence and files.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Provide administrative support to the principal.
2. Compose correspondence
3. Develop and maintain an efficient system for flow of student records.
4. Maintain appointment calendar, prepare travel vouchers, organize and maintain unit filing systems.
5. Route mail to appropriate personnel.
6. Maintain manual and automated files.
7. Prepare paperwork and monthly reports.
8. Prepare and maintain time sheets for contracted personnel.
9. Coordinate testing and class schedules.
10. Prepare annual budget, reports, campus plans, and miscellaneous documents.
11. Maintain daily WSD attendance and monthly ACA records and reports.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

13. Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information received in the performance of the job duties.
14. Perform duties in a professional manner through daily, punctual attendance at locations of work assignment.
15. Follow Windham School District policies and procedures in completing assigned job duties.
16. Execute duties in a professional, ethical and responsible manner as defined in 19 TAC Chapter 247, Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
