Job Title: Employment Case Manager
Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt
Pay Group: S65 Salary Plan
Primary Purpose: Performs Employment Case Manager work pre and post release that will lead to employment for students enrolled and who have completed Integrated Education and Training (IET) programs.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE)
Three years full-time wage-earning education, job placement, criminal justice or case management experience.
Time as a resident within a criminal justice environment can be substituted for the required three years of experience for a maximum substitution of two years.
This position requires personal technology that will enable the completion of job duties and responsibilities when working remotely.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills with in a diverse community.
Knowledge of adult education and Career and Technical Education.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
1. Assist with developing Career Readiness Portfolios and Transition Plans for students.
2. Provide pre-release employability services/classes to students who have completed or who are currently enrolled in the Integrated and Education Training program.
3. Assist with scheduling pre-release interviews with employers.
4. Track and communicate with students post release to assist with job placement and supports.
5. Prepare and submit reports as required by Division of Instruction.
6. Travel as required to provide Employment Case Manager services; visit employers; and attend required meetings and trainings.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

8. Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information received in the performance of the job duties.
9. Perform duties in a professional manner through daily, punctual attendance at location of work assignment.
10. Follow Windham School District policies and procedures in completing assigned job duties.
11. Execute duties in a professional, ethical and responsible manner as defined in 19 TAC Chapter 247, Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
