Qualifications:
The Digital Literacy Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons to K-4 students that promote digital skills, technology integration, and responsible online behavior.
The teacher will foster creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking, equipping students with essential digital competencies aligned with district curriculum standards and future learning goals.
Degree required - NH DOE certification with a focus on digital literacy, Digital Learning Specialist (0350) preferred.
Key Responsibilities
1. Instruction and Curriculum Delivery - Students K-4
* Teach foundational digital literacy skills per the WSD K-8 Digital Literacy Curriculum, including basic keyboarding, coding, and safe internet usage.
* Integrate technology to support creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration through project-based learning (e.g., Google Slides, coding, 3D printing, robotics).
* Align lessons with school K-4 curriculum and state educational technology frameworks.
* Customize lessons for diverse learners to ensure accessibility and engagement for all students.
* Support students in developing independence in using digital tools for learning.
* Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend innovative tools to enhance learning.
2. Collaboration and Communication - Teachers and Staff
* Partner with classroom teachers to integrate digital tools into core subject areas.
* Provide staff professional development and technical support on educational technology platforms such as Schoology, PowerSchool, Clever, Google Workspace, and Seesaw.
