CENTER-BASED FAMILY SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Minimum AA in Human Services or related field (BA preferred) (social work, psychology) 2 years of experience working with at risk families or 3 years’ case management or related experience and completion of a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field within 18 months of hire with unrelated degree. Knowledge of adult learning styles, family systems and community resources. Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation. Availability for evening and weekend work on occasion. Must pass a background check and a pre-employment physical.
Other considerations: Child development coursework/experience a plus. Relevant work experience with young children and families/group work. Ability to understand a broad range of cultural backgrounds, socioeconomic levels and functional abilities. Ability to function independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Capacity to follow policies and protocols related to program guidelines/performance standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.70 - $27.23 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
